ICC releases 2023 ODI World Cup poster: First match of tournament to be played on October 5

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the poster for the 2023 ODI World Cup to be held in India in October-November. The captains of all the 10 teams playing in the tournament are seen in the poster with the trophy.

England captain Jos Buttler and Australia captain Pat Cummins are the closest to the trophy. Australia are five-time ODI World Cup winners, while England are the defending champions.

To Buttler’s left is India captain Rohit Sharma, followed by Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, Sri Lanka’s Dasun Shanaka and New Zealand’s Tom Latham.

To Cummins’ right are Pakistan captain Babar Azam, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma, Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal and Netherlands’ Scott Edwards. This time 10 teams will participate in the World Cup.
